what are the main design processes?

Design / construction projects essentially form 3 main stages in
co-ordination with our services:

Stage 1 – Preliminary Design

Establishment of the client brief with yourself, staff and associates;

Analysis and advice in conjunction with, and based on client instructions in connection with budget, style and scope of works;

Any existing tenancy drawings are sourced, accurate site survey check measure completed and CAD site plan generated;

Concept generation: preparation of a schematic concept and design drawings as required for the proposal in the form of preliminary Sketch Plan drawings;

Design concept development: preparation of the developed designs;

Documentation and preparation of the layout drawing designs for client approval;

Finalise design and obtain client signed approval prior to initiating final working drawings;

Stage 2 – Contract Documentation

Upon client approval of Preliminary Design, preparation of a comprehensive full set of working documents and specifications can begin;

Client liaison will commence once drawings are deemed complete and any changes or updates made as required;

Finalised drawings to be approved and signed-off by the client;

Design package (inclusive of documentation, specifications and finishes schedules) sent out to relevant parties for required approvals;

Upon feedback from relevant parties, changes are completed, approvals gained and client sign-off completed in order to commence pricing / construction.

Stage 3 – Commencement of Works & Completion of Works

The consultant will liaise with the contractors to clarify any queries raised as a result of Design Documentation or Specification by the designer.
